San Pedro, Belize is the first location to check into Belize from the north, so it was our first stop.  We spent 4 days here.  The houses and buildings are painted with bright colors with sandy streets.   It is an English speaking country, but the prices are much higher than the Mexico and Guatemala countries.  For example, it cost us $1 an hour at an internet cafe in Mexico, here it is $6 an hour.  We spent $100 on a few groceries at the market, but $33 of it was for a 48 package box of M&M's.  And we bought a large bottle of Pace Picante Sauce.   When, and if, you find US brands, you have to stock up.  You just can't be out of Picante Sauce and M&M's.   Who needs anything else?
